I just read online that Carol Miller, founder of Quilt University (QU) that offers online quilt classes, passed away suddenly.  QU will offer classes through the end of 2013 and then close its online doors, so to speak.   For those of us, who have had the opportunity to learn through QU, it will be sad to see it come to an end.  But if there is anything we should know for certain in life...it is that there is constant change.  Some things stay the same for a long time, but they still end up changing at some point.   Blessings on your continuing journey Carol, and thank you for what you did in this life!

I've been working in Photoshop this morning and this has taken about 4 hours to complete.  The elements include a line drawing of the female image, one of my photos with a wave filter applied (for the background), a clipping mask, some adjustments, then painting on top of everything else. I think the original line drawing could be used in another piece and you'd never know both came from the same base drawing.  This one has a much different 'feel' to it than the original drawing.  Maybe I'll try it...the beginning of a series, if you will!
