Prepping for 2022 Goals...

...for me, involves looking at my prior year's achievements in comparison to the goals and/or prior year's achievements. Looking at 2021, this zine (Part I) looks at the topic of goals in general and then measures progress on my art achievements and other goals--through comparing numbers with 2020. Do you use goals and if so, how do you determine if they've been helpful in moving you toward what you want to achieve?

Let's Face It (LFI) 2022 - I've signed up

It looks like LFI 2022 will be very good!  Registrants have already started receiving video tutorials and pop-up sessions in preparation for hitting the ground running iin January.  One of them I just finished is drawing a realist eye in pencil.  I wasn't sure I could do a realistic eye this way, but worked on it in spite of my confidence level.  This was done with a mechanical pencil, and the shading took a bit more time as a result.  That said, for a first effort--this is good work.  Next comes practice.  So there will be many eyes in my future with this one--the first under my belt. Thanksgiving Art Turkeys

A wonderful art turkey crafting idea from fellow Pushing Past Ordinary Society community member.  Thank you, Nancy! This photo is of a sampling of the 24 turkeys made as place-setting decorations for our family's Thanksgiving table.  They were just delightful!  Such a nice touch for this year's in-person gathering (and generated conversation too)!
