Big Girl Crowns!

Quarterly, a group of creative friends get together to do a creative project.  Yesterday was my day to host our creative adventure. The project was kept a total surprise until the last moment which was to paint and embellish a lace crown.  I had already stiffened them since the drying time requires at least a day and we couldn't have done that in our short time together. We had such fun.  Here is a photo of mine...a continuing work in progress since I have some more ideas for it! This post also linked to  http://ninamariesayre.blogspot.com .

Thread for Finishing Quilt Work

I just ordered some Sulky Rayon thread (40 wt.) from Red Rock Threads to finish one of the pieces designed and assembled in Sue Benner's class.  I chose a number of shades of light sapphire as well as taupe to see what works best.  I'm looking forward to finishing it! Reminder:  Don't forget that with any thread...use the right machine needle for the thread weight/ply/type.
