My entry was accepted and will be on display at the International Quilt Festival (IQF) in Houston this fall...received my notification yesterday!

It has taken me a long time to get the above image 'right' in comparison to the inspiration image.  The piece uses elements from eight (8) photos as part of this digital drawing.  The most difficult parts were the hands and the dress. Below is the version of the same image done in February 2013.  Quite a difference!  My drawing ability has definitely improved in the span of a year plus a few months.

I'm putting together a book of selected digital drawings...many posted on this blog. Assembling a book is a journey and much lengthier process than you might imagine. Stay tuned for details!
