Another Life Book 2015 lesson...this one to create an image of a female Goddess/Muse based on a description that calls to us. I chose the Goddess Morrigan because her description intrigued me. She was known as the Crow Goddess, and queen of phantoms and shape-shifters. This image aptly reflects a kind of shape-shifting quality. The background I started was quite bright and purplish, and there were drips of metallic paint that suggest tears and/or braids in the final image, depending on how you look at it. The crow image was the first one to be completed, then the wings were painted, followed by the face. What I like about this is the color study (creating a bit of translucence with paint color) and the sense of dimension!
