Not sure if this is done yet, or if there is more embellishment in this piece's future, but am posting to Nina-Marie's Off the Wall Friday blog. What do you think...finished or needs something else?
This basket was made in Jane Hall's half-day course at IQF 2014. The greatest amount of time involved in making it--was cutting and sewing the strips together. Otherwise, it went together easily and quickly (3 hours). These baskets are a great holiday gifting idea that you can match to family and friends' home decoration color schemes. They're fun and useful besides.
I think it might need a little something else. I can't quite put my finger on it. I hope the beading on the side was a premade piece. That's a lot of work!
ReplyDeleteThe beading was part of a different piece that I never finished. So, I cut it out of that piece and used it on this one.
DeleteThe colors are great! I would add just a touch of the darker colors - dark red and blue on the right side somewhere for balance.... not much... just a touch.
