Today's effort is based on Friedrich Wm. Herdt's 'Painting of a Lady' dated in 1833.
It is only a sketch done with mechanical pencil (HB core) plus pupil highlights added with a white Uni-Ball Signo pen.
The face is a bit wider than the source image. But overall, I'm satisfied with it. When you're not feeling tip-top, a quicker piece is perfect for meeting a commitment to daily practice.
This update is from May 11th in which the lip as been slightly reworked and the hair/curls have been shaded to add some depth. What do you think?
